Alison looked at the words in the air and barely listened to what Troye said; she concentrated on figure it out. She turned to him with a smile.
“Well, good thing that I like them” she said and turned towards the tree again. “The right answer is the world” she said and the letters disappeared, and they could reach the tree. She turned to Troye again. “How about you gather the resin and I’ll get the bark” she said and walked up to the big trunk. 15 jun, 2018 22:53 |

How was it even possible to solve a riddle that fast? He didn’t even care that she was a Ravenclaw anymore - it should have been impossible to solve it that fast.
“Yeah, sure”, he said and walked up, closer to the tree. The resin shouldn’t be to hard to gather, he thought to himself as he pulled out the knife that he had put in his pocket earlier. It was just to cut deep enough in the tree until it dripped out, right? He tested his theory and dug the knife into the tree. He had to use both his hands to be able to do so; the tree was harder than what he had thought. The again, he hadn’t dug a knife into that many trees before. bleh 16 jun, 2018 10:05 |

Alison broke the bark off the tree and shoved it in her pocket together with the leaves. She broke off a big piece and held it out to Troye.
“We can collect the resin on here, the professors weren’t nice enough to give us a bottle” she said and shook her head. She looked at Troye, trying to reach the resin. It seemed hard. “It’s going great for you” she said sarcastically and jokingly. 16 jun, 2018 10:38 |

Because he had to use both of his hands, he didn’t take the piece of bark as soon as Alison held it out to him.
“Ha-ha, funny”, he said, his voice strained. His arm muscles were working hard; and he was afraid that Alison would be able to see it under his t-shirt. He didn’t want to put it on display that he actually needed to work that hard to get the resin; but she had already noticed, obviously. He ignored his thoughts for a second and closed his eyes, as to collect all the force into his body l, and gave the knife one final push. Which was enough, because the knife got further into the tree and Troye saw the resin starting to drip slowly out of the tree. Yes! “That wasn’t too hard”, he said with a shrug, low key making fun of himself. He pulled out the knife, which was much easier than actually sticking it in, and took the piece of bark that Alison had given him. He held it out under the jack in the tree, from where the resin dropped out. bleh 16 jun, 2018 13:40 |

Alison smiled, and watched the resin drip on the piece of bark. She looked around, the sun was just a few minutes of disappearing completely. She turned to Troye. “Let’s go, we have everything now” she said and hurried away from the tree, to where they had left the bucket with water. She didn’t really think about the fact that they hadn’t gotten anything to make for dinner, the tree climbing had taken longer than she had anticipated. She hoped that Troye would just assume her hurrying away was because of her thirst and longing for water, nothing else. She turned back. “Are you coming?” she asked. 16 jun, 2018 13:56 |

Troye saw the resin drip down on the bark, but he wanted more, to make sure that they had enough of it to make the potion. Alison had other thoughts, however. She was in a hurry all of a sudden.
“I think we need more resin”, he said and wrinkled his forehead at her to display his confusion. Was she really that thirsty? Huh. Troye himself wasn’t thirsty or hungry; he had eaten and drunk a lot at lunch. He had probably eaten enough for two people, or three. He turned back to look at the piece of bark and saw that even more resin had dropped onto the surface. That had to be enough, so he started to walk up to Alison. “Why the sudden hurry?” he asked and looked at her. bleh 16 jun, 2018 14:36 |

Alison looked around in the forest, and then on Troye, who had finally come up to her.
“I just think we should get back so we can make the potion, that will take a while” she said and scratched her neck. That was true though, they still had to make a fire without magic and start making the potion, and the fire alone would take a while. She had never made a fire without her wand, she had had a few muggle friends who where Scouts, but that was the closest she had gotten to it. She looked around the forest again, and told herself that it was fine, she wasn’t alone and that it wasn’t dangerous to be in the dark, as usual. She clenched her teeth and were silent, hoping they would be back at the tent very soon. 16 jun, 2018 17:11 |

She sounded legit. Potions, especially for people who had no talent in the subject, could take a while to make. More than a while, to be honest. But Alison was probably secretely skilled with potions just as she had been with everything else, so it couldn’t take too long.
“You’re right”, he said and continued to walk towards the spot where they had left the water-filled bucket. It wasn’t that far away, so after just a couple of minutes Troye saw it. “There it is!” he exclaimed and pointed at it before walking up to it. He grabbed it with one of his hands, the other one holding the piece of bark, and waited for her to do the same. bleh 16 jun, 2018 17:39 |

Alison just nodded and kept walking behind Troye. Suddenly, he pointed and Alison saw the bucket with water. She went up to it and grabbed the other side. Together, they worked they way back to the tent, which actually wasn’t too far away, it had felt further when they had started their hike for water. She put the bucket down and looked around the kitchen for a cauldron, and found one pretty quickly. She turned to Troye.
“We need to make a fire” she said and held up the cauldron. 17 jun, 2018 13:27 |

Luckily the tent wasn’t that far away; their walk went pretty quickly, and the bucket didn’t feel to heavy. When they arrived at the tent he sat down by the bucket and looked at Alison as she roamed the kitchen, probably looking after a cauldron. Just a short while after she came back with one in her hands.
“How do you do that without magic?” he asked, his forehead wrinkled. Hell, he had wrinkled his forehead to much during these hours; he’d possibly get wrinkles! He had to stop being confused all of the time. “You know how, right?” He was going to say something about her being muggle-born and all, but stopped himself. He would probably sound like a dick if he did and he wasn’t up for a fight. bleh 17 jun, 2018 14:07 |
