Sean took the flask from Noel, which he didn't mind, considering that his throat was pretty much on fire by then. It was kind of a relief to have someone that stopped him to do stuff, although he used to be good at that himself. Something about Audrey had changed him, and Noel wasn't even sure if it was for the better or the worse. He decided to have fun instead of thinking about Audrey.
So he danced. He was quite obviously drunk, because he would never dance otherwise. Never ever. Big no no. He probably looked stupid and silly out there on the dance floor, but at least no one said anything about it. He had fun and they had fun - no one cared how they looked. They just let themselves loose to the music.

But after a while Noel decided that he needed to catch a break. He also saw that William was walking up to him, so he avoided the situation by leaving the room.
With messy hair and a strong scent of firewhiskey around him, he walked out to the corridor. The first thing he saw was Audrey, which surprised him. Why was she sitting there? He almost walked into the party again but remembered about William - so he was kind of stuck out there, in the corridor. Standing there awkwardly, not sure how to act in front of Audrey.

Audrey sat on the floor, imagined herself inside the room, dancing and laughing. Her hand was on her stomach, and she leaned her head towards the wall. Her head was filled with thoughts and feelings, she wasn’t quite sure how to handle everything. She had felt alone before, but now more than ever. She sighed and was just about to stand up when she heard the doors to the Room of Requirement open. Stumbling out was, of course, Noel. Audrey could smell the fire whiskey from a distance. So much for the Prefect she had seen during the first party. To be fair, he had his reasons to drink.
“Drowning your sorrows?” she asked. She would love to have done that, but couldn’t for obvious reasons. She played with her hair, not expecting Noel to answer. If he was pissed at her sober, he would probably be even more pissed drunk. She leaned her head back towards the wall again, looking out the window across from her. The weather had started to get colder and it rained. It was as if the weather imitated Audreys feelings.

He wasn't even sure if he was mad at Audrey anymore. Maybe the firewhiskey brushed that away for some time. Noel was, however, still annoyed. Big difference between mad and annoyed, acutally.
"What sorrows would I drown?" he asked, looking down at her where she sat, on the floor. "I'm just simply having fun. A good time. A great time!" His voice was quite tense, but you could still hear that he was drunk. It was quite obvious. He followed Audrey's gaze and looked out the window as well. Even though he had felt quite happy and carefree inside of the Room of Requirement, he know felt a bit gloomy. He felt like rain. A bit sad. Well, not sad. But definetely not happy as he had felt just minutes before.

Audrey shrugged.
"You were very clear that alcohol was something you never drank a few weeks ago. To go from that to, well, this must have some reasons" she said and looked at him. At least he wasn't mad, not what she could see. Her hand was still resting on her stomach, moving up and down as she breathed.
"Well, I'm happy that you're having fun" she said and actually smiled. He would probably have forgotten the conversation the day after, anyway, considering his condition.

Audrey was right. Even Noel - in his condition - realized that. He really wasn't the same person as he used to be just a couple of weeks ago. Which was quite sad really, but everyone changed. Right? It was normal. Right?
But Audrey was right about everything really. He was drowning something. Or atleast he wanted to forget. Which he wouldn't. He wouldn't forget the pregnancy or anything. It would all be stuck in his head. William, Audrey, baby. But he could shut it out for a while. A little while.
"Consider yourself the reason then", he muttered and walked up to the window. He ignored her 'I'm happy that you're having fun', bullshit. It was bullshit, right? Audrey was just faking it. Trying to seem kind. No, she wasn't.

Right?

Audrey grinned.
"Well, I'm glad that I changed you into a happier man, then, at least when drunk" she said and stood up. She felt nauseous again, but tried to not think about it. She looked at Noel standing by the window, and bit her lip. He wouldn't remember this conversation by the morning, would he? Audrey sure hoped not. She walked up to him.
"I'm truly sorry for all of this" she said and looked at his back. She was an idiot for letting herself be vulnerable, especially infront of Noel, and it was even worse that he was drunk. She just needed to let it out somehow and it was easier when the odds of him not remembering would be high.
