Both boys turned around and glared at Audrey. Noel was done with them fighting - he had forgotten all about the kiss and the pregnancy and what not. It felt as they had, too.
"You can fuck off too, Audrey!" he yelled before William got the chance to say anything. He turned back and continued to walk towards the castle. He ignored William just a few steps behind him and soon he was in the Entrance Hall. He basically ran down the stairs to the dungeons and also ran the short bit to the common room. He noticed that William wasn't that close behind him anymore, and he felt relief. Finally, he was left alone.

Audrey shook her head. He would calm down eventually. She hoped. To be fair, she had reacted in the same way if the roles were reversed. She put her hands on her stomach, looking down on it before making her way into the castle. She saw Williams back at the top of the stairs which lead to the dungeons. She stopped, to see if he was going to do anything.
“Don’t play with his emotions, he is a human being” she said, with a normal voice. It was of concern, nothing else. She turned her back towards him and moved slowly towards the stairs, he was probably not going to answer her, anyway.

Audrey had been right - William didn’t respond. He just looked around and gave her the dead eye before working his way down the stairs.
Noel had quickly entered the Slytherin common room and went past all the students, not even stopping to help the third years with their Astronomy when they asked him. He was already the worst Prefect, he could just keep going with it. When he entered the dorm all the boys in his year was sitting in their beds, talking and (occasionally) yelling across the room to each other. They barely acknowledged Noel’s presence; not that he wanted to be acknowledged. He just wanted to go to bed. And he did. Even if though all the talking in the background, he quickly fell asleep, and for once he actually slept well.

Audrey went up the stairs and into the Gryffindor common room. Her head was spinning with thoughts. They were probably nothing, compared on how much Noel probably had to think about, considering he knocked Audrey up and apparently is in love with William? That must be rough. Audrey thought about her own feelings, and what she felt when she saw the two of them kiss. Just an hour before, Noel had told her that he might be there for the baby, or at least that was how Audrey had interpreted it. That was probably off the table now. If not because of William, but because of how Audrey and William had acted. She just got pissed because William was a turd, but she had spoken about Noel as if he wasn’t there, so she understood his reaction.

Audrey undressed and climbed into bed. She slept relatively well, and woke up in the morning, not even feeling ill. She touched her stomach and looked up at the ceiling for a while before getting dressed. She wondered if Noel would even want to talk with her today. She hoped he would, but she wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t. She went downstairs and waited for him in the Entrance Hall, leaning towards the wall.

No dreams, no nothing. Just plain, good ol’ sleep. It was wonderful. He had been tired for many days in a row, so waking up and feeling something else than tired was amazing. Although it didn’t take too long before his head reminded him of yesterday’s events. Audrey, baby and William. Fucking awesome. He stayed in bed for a while, staring up the ceiling and later conversing with the rest of the newly-woken boys.
“The project is calling”, Noel finally said and got out of bed. The other boys followed his lead, except for one; Liam.
“Come on guys, Noel just wants to come in time so he’ll get to shag”, he exclaimed, and the other guys started laughing. Not Klaus though, and not Noel either.
“Have you ever considered fucking yourself?” Noel responded and gave him one of the deadest eyes he’d ever given anyone. He went on with getting dressed (basic blue sweatshirt, basic black trousers) and exited the dorm and the common room. He arrived at the entrance hall and as usual, he immediately spotted Audrey. He didn’t walk up to her though. He was still mad about yesterday and he wasn’t going to act like nothing. He just waited until he saw that she had seen him and then he entered the Great Hall and sat down at a table.

Audrey noticed Noel, and saw how he ignored her and went into the Great Hall. As expected. She went after him, and sat down in front of him.
“You know I only picked the fight because he was being a jerk, right? I know it wasn’t fair to talk as if you weren’t there, he just pissed me off” she said and looked at him. Right on point, why walk around it when they clearly needed to talk about this.
“Sorry if I ruined your night, I didn’t know you had feelings for each other” she added and leaned back in the chair.

He stuffed some eggs into his mouth and chewed as he listened to Audrey. He didn’t look at her - and he wasn’t going to, either. She didn’t even deserve to be acknowledged. Why was he listening to her? He swallowed and cleared his throat.
“Don’t try to make it sound okay”, he muttered, his gaze wandering around the Great Hall. “You were disrespectful and extremely immature.” He didn’t even comment on the feelings between him and William. He wanted to explain what had happened, he really did; but it wasn’t even relevant anymore. She didn’t deserve an explanation for it.

Audrey sighed.
“I know I was. I’m just trying to explain to you why I acted the way I did. I don’t think it’s okay treating your friends as toys. I guess, on some level, my acting was my way of trying to help, to stand up for you. But I know you’re capable of doing so yourself, I shouldn’t have meddled with it”. She was surprised that she admitted defeat, but even if she was a proud person, she always admitted if she was wrong. And she had acted wrong, she knew that.
“I’m sorry” she said, and tried to look at him, but he refused to look at her. It hurt, in some way.

Her words didn’t mean anything to him. He was just too pissed off - and it felt as he was going to be forever. Instead of answering her he continued to watch around the Great Hall. He saw two Slytherin girls (probably in the third or fourth year) enter and one of them had a skirt that was too short. He knew that it shouldn’t be his business; but he was a Prefect, and those were the rules. When the girl walked past their table he tapped her shoulder to stop her.
“Skirt’s too short”, he said, answering her questioning face. “Two points from Slytherin.” The girl looked offended and he understood; he rarely took points because of things like that, but he wasn’t in the mood. He felt as he would never be okay again. He was grumpy. But to be honest, the old Noel was grumpy. He was kind of back on track.
“But-“, she begun but Noel hushed her.
“Rules are rules, now go”, he said shortly and turned to his table and again. For the first time during that meal, he looked at Audrey, but he quickly looked away again.

Audrey watched the scene, and shook her head. Great, annoying Prefect Noel was back. She didn’t say anything, because she didn’t need a lecture about Prefects duties. Instead, she looked down at her stomach. She had unwittingly placed her hands there. She looked up at Noel. She didn’t know what to say, or do, to make it right again.
“What do I have to do to make it up to you?” she asked, and looked at him. Her feelings were mixed; one second, she had no problem walking out of the Great Hall and never look at Noel again, solving the problem for both of them, but in the next, she really wanted him to at least look at her again. She hated these confused feelings, and they had been growing and expanding since last night, too.
