"I won't", he answered. He was sure of it. Yeah, they would be disappointed in him for not being 7646% safe and all, but still. They would get over it. They had been there and done that, they had to know how he felt in his situation.
"Should we go to Madame Pomfrey?"

Audrey still looked at her feet.
“I don’t know, I’m still not 100% recovered since the last time” she muttered. She knew she didn’t had to stay there as she had done the last time, but still. She looked at Noel.
“I’ll do it tomorrow morning” she said and shrugged. She let her gaze wonder from Noel up to the ceiling. She wondered how her guardian would react to the letter McGonagall was going to send. Was it possible to get kicked out of an orphanage? Not that Audrey cared, she was probably better off on her own, but maybe not while being super pregnant next summer. She sighed and didn’t move her gaze from the ceiling. The baby would probably come before the summer, however. But still. That would probably just be worse.

How could he have forgotten about her fear for the hospital wing? Hell, his thoughts were spread all over the place. He finally stood up again and once again, placed his hands on her shoulders.
"I'm really, genuinly sorry for before", he said, licking his lips. "But I know that I have a responsibility and I'm taking it." He wished that she would turn around to look at him and say that it was okay, but for some vague reason he guessed that wasn't the scenario that was waiting him.

Audrey looked at him. Had he grown some balls, after all? She smiled.
“I understand, it came like a shock for both of us. But you don’t have to play hero, we’ll be fine on our own if needed” she said and moved her hands up and down her stomach again. She had only been aware of the baby for a few hours, but she was already in love with it. Guess some of the maternal instincts kicked in, or something. She stood up and looked into Noels eyes, and they were as pretty as before.
“After the project you can even tell the school that it’s not yours, I bet they’ll believe you” she said jokingly, but she was half serious. He could, if he wanted to. The school would probably believe him, and Audrey would get the slut stamp.But it seemed like Noel had changed his mind, at least for the moment?

He kind of wanted to feel her stomach. Would that be weird? There weren't even any bump showing or anything yet. He decided to put away his urge to touch it. He didn't want to look dumb.
"I'm not that big of an asshole", he answered jokingly, but actually being one hundred percent serious. Had he really been that horrible before? To make her think that he would even consider saying that it wasn't his? But hell, who did he think that he was? Obviously he would consider lying about not being the dad.

“I guess you have to prove it” she said and winked. She sighed and was about to say something when she felt the nausea coming over her like a wave. She cursed and ran to the closest bin in the corridor. She leaned forward and felt how her dinner returned. She straightened up and cursed again. Was this going to keep happening during the next nine months? She hoped not. She turned towards Noel again.
“You’re lucky you’re a guy” she muttered and sighed. All she wanted to do right now was clearing her mind, but she didn’t feel like flying or skating. She put up her hair in a ponytail and leaned towards the wall.

Noel was thinking out a quick response when suddenly Audrey ran away. He started to walk after her but stopped when he saw what she was doing. Disgusting! Although he couldn’t blame her, it actually was his fault, not hers.
“I guess I am”, he stated with a low voice and nodded briefly. He continued to look at her and imagined their future; with the child and all. He really wished that he could say that he was okay with becoming a dad, but he really wasn’t. It would ruin his entire life, or at least that was what it felt like.
“I actually have quite some homework to catch up on”, he said after a while, not having much expression in his voice.

Audrey nodded.
“It’s evening anyway, so we can go our separate ways” she said with a little smile. She started walking downstairs.
“See you tomorrow” she said and went down the stairs. She went to the entrance hall, and out the doors. She walked down to the lake, hoping to find Eric. She got lucky, he was down by the lake, and alone. Audrey sat down silently next to him, and he turned towards her. His smile disappeared when he saw her eyes.
“What’s happened?” he asked, and Audrey leaned her head on his shoulder.
“I’m pregnant” she whispered, and Eric was silent. A few seconds later, he put his arm around her, and leaned his head towards hers.
“I’m here for you” he said, and Audrey didn’t answer. She didn’t need to. They sat there, in silence for quite some time.
“Does Noel know?” Eric asked suddenly, and Audrey nodded.
“He doesn’t want anything to do with it, I’m guessing the day the project is over I won’t see him again” she said and shook her head. Of course, she would see him, in classes. Eric sighed.
“He’s a good guy, he’ll come around” he said, and Audrey didn’t answer. She wasn’t sure if she wanted Noel to come around, since he seemed to have a hard time to make up his feelings about her.

Was he supposed to hug her goodnight? He immediately cancelled out the goodnight kiss, he didn’t want any taste of vomit in his lips. A kiss would feel to much, he realized. A hug was probably too much as well, so he just said goodbye and walked away, heading for the dungeons. On his way down he met (you can probably guess it) William. Hell. That boy - he only meant hell for Noel. He was amazing to look at and all, but he was hell.
“Can we talk about what I said yesterday?” William quickly asked, without as much as a nod or an hello. Noel figures that he couldn’t get out of talking tonight as well; so he just nodded. He wasn’t sure if his voice would sound okay if he said something, so he didn’t. William didn’t seem to mind though. He just started walking towards the Entrance Hall and later walked out of the doors.

The schoolyard seemed empty, and it was starting to get dark.
Noel cleared his throat and looked over at William.
“What did you want to talk about?” he asked, but William just continued to walk towards the lake. They were still to far away to see that there actually was someone there (or they weren’t really looking). After a short while William just stopped and Noel followed his lead.
“So?” Noel’s voice came out hoarse, and William just looked him in the eyes. Just a quarter of a second later he had grabbed Noel’s collar, pulled him so close that they couldn’t even get closer, and their lips touched.

Audrey and Eric sat quiet for a while, until Eric had to leave. Audrey stayed, she had to clear her thoughts. She stared at the lake and followed its movements with her gaze. Suddenly, she stood up, and removed her shoes, socks and tie. She emerged in the cold water and went so far that she had to swim to keep her head above the water. She really needed the cold, it made her mind clear for a bit. She went back a bit, so she could stand on the sand at the bottom of the lake and stood there for a while before she decided to go back. She dried herself with her wand before putting on her shoes and held her tie in her hand. She walked back towards the castle when she saw a familiar face. Two faces, actually. Noel and William. She was just about to walk around them when she witnessed how William grabbed Noel and kissed him. Audrey looked at them, shocked. Was Noel in love with William? Maybe that was why he was so weird around William, he was in love with him? Audrey looked down and saw that her hands had automatically gotten to her stomach. She looked back at the couple. Should she say anything? Before she could stop herself, she had spoken.
“Wow, you just walk around kissing everything that moves, don’t you?” she said sarcastically and raised an eyebrow, looking at Noel.
