Damn, he was a fast climber. She didn’t answer him when he suggested to her to be careful. She was grateful that he said something, but she didn’t want Troye to know that. As she came to the last branch, she jumped off and landed on the safe and steady ground. Now when they were out of Troyes good climbing territory, they had now entered the territory in which she was superior (at least she knew a little about it, which was probably more than Troye), surviving in the forest. She turned to him. “I bet there is a spell around the water as well” she said and raised an eyebrow. The tent couldn’t be the only task out here. She hoped it would, but she knew better. It was a competition, after all. 14 jun, 2018 11:30 |

He looked at her as she climbed down and crossed his arms over his chest. She didn’t climb as slow as he had wished for; he wanted to be a lot more superior to her than he was. Hell, was she bad at anything? Didn’t feel like it.
“You think?” he asked and shrugged a bit for himself. He hadn’t thought anything about it, actually. “Well, I guess we’ll see.” His eyes stayed at her for a while, for a little too long to be honest, before he turned away. What was wrong with him? Did he seriously find Alison attractive? No, he couldn’t. “Should we go?” bleh 14 jun, 2018 11:35 |

“Yeah, we’ll see” Alison said. She looked at Troye. Why did he stare at her? She dragged her hand across her mouth in case she had something on her face and started walking. She went in the direction of where she had seen the water, and hoped they would be there soon. She had started to become quite thirsty, now that she thought about it. As she walked, she listened to the birds’ songs, which were beautiful. The forest was very beautiful, actually. They had only heard about the dangerous part of the forest, not the beautiful one. Alison put her braid on her back and looked over at Troye. At least they could have some small talk. “So, no forest when you were a kid. What did you do when you were a kid?” she asked. She was actually curious, since he had, literally, grown up in another world than her. 14 jun, 2018 11:42 |

Crap. She noticed him staring. Would she use that against him? Did she even realize that he was (kind of) attracted to her? He had to stop thinking about it. Thinking just made everything worse. He started to walk next to her, trusting that she knew where they were going. He certainly had no clue himself.
“Quidditch”, he answered shortly, his gaze landing on her red hair. Jesus, could he stop? He looked away from her again. “Or, not really quidditch but... My parents gave me this little children’s-broom, and I was always on it.” He smiled at himself, thinking back at the little broom. bleh 14 jun, 2018 11:51 |

Alison nodded. Imagine growing up in the Wizarding World, with magic and everything around it at your fingertips.
“That’s really cool, I obviously couldn’t fly as a kid” she said and laughed. When the letter had come for her on her eleventh birthday, both Alison and her parents had been in chock. Alison herself had gotten over it pretty quickly and got excited. The first time she sat foot in the Wizarding World had been amazing. She wouldn’t give up this world for anything in the world. “It must have been pretty amazing, growing up in this world” she said and smiled. Well, would you look at that? They were actually capable of having a nice conversation. 14 jun, 2018 14:27 |

Troye couldn’t even imagine growing up without magic. He couldn’t even imagine not knowing that magic existed. Woah, crazy thoughts.
“I don’t have anything to compare with, but yeah”, he answered with a brief shrug. “I can’t even imagine not living with magic, so you know, that’s why this task sucks.” He scratches his neck and finally dared to look up at her again. She was attractive. Did he have to climb a tree with the girl to notice? No, of course not. He had noticed it before that. But it was harder to ignore now, for some reason. bleh 14 jun, 2018 16:52 |

Alison nodded. “I can understand that. It’s kind of hard living in the Muggle world during the summers” she said with a laugh. It was, actually. Using magic every day for most of the year and suddenly get cut off was pretty hard. “But growing up was of course easier, since I had no idea this world even existed” she said and pointed in front of her. “There it is!” she said and looked at the stream of water just a few meters ahead. 14 jun, 2018 16:56 |

Oh, right. She still lived like a muggle sometimes. Troye could never be able to understand how anyone could go from having magic around themselves at all times to be without it for months. He was just about to comment about that when she pointed at the water ahead of them. His eyes followed her finger and as he saw the water he smiled. He wasn’t sure why though, maybe it just felt nice to have accomplished something without fighting.
He ran the few meters until he was up by the water and turned around to look at Alison. “I didn’t bring my bucket”, he said, feeling stupid. Why didn’t he? He checked his pocket and felt the knife. Oh, right. He was supposed to hunt; not to find water. bleh 14 jun, 2018 17:16 |

“Then we have to make do with the one I have” she said and held up the bucket. She went up to the stream and put the bucket in it, filling the steel bucket with fresh water. She was just about to lift the bucket again, when it didn’t work. She sighed. “Told you there were going to be a spell; it’s too heavy to carry alone” she said and almost rolled her eyes, what was the professors game here? Helping each other carry stuff wasn’t much of a competition, was it? 14 jun, 2018 17:25 |

It wasn’t too bad that he didn’t bring his bucket; they could only carry one at a time anyway. Phew, his mistake wasn’t actually a mistake. It was nice, considering he had done a lot of things wrong already.
“Seriously?” he wrinkled his forehead and grabbed the bucket filled with water. “The professors really can’t come up with anything new.” He sighed and let his eyes walk from her hair to her face. Why did he have to have a thing for redheads? People usually had a thing for blondes - not redheads! He mentally shook his head and threw away his thoughts, waiting for her to help him pick up the bucket. bleh 14 jun, 2018 17:57 |
