Triwizard Tournament, Hogwarts' style (PRS)

Alison nodded. Don’t look down, don’t look down. She grabbed a branch and climbed up higher. She wondered how it went for the other team, were they stuck in a tree, as well? She hoped they hadn’t found the water source yet, because she wanted to be first. She grabbed yet another branch, and was about to pull herself up when the branch snapped, and she shrieked. She hung from the other branch with one hand, close of falling. She cursed and managed to grab another, steadier branch. She looked up and kept going, hoping they would be at the top soon. She didn’t want to think about going down again, that was a future problem.

Alison’s shriek caused his heart to stop. (Not literally, but he was terrified.) He obviously didn’t care about her, but if she died or got hurt, he wouldn’t know what to do. Alison had been the one who had known what to do every time. (Yet.) He turned around to look at her, and luckily, she was safe. He sighed out of relief.
“Fucking hell”, he said, a sting of worry in his voice. “You almost scared me to death!” He stopped climbing once again, wanting her to catch up with him before continuing. That way, if she would fall again, he’d have a bigger chance to catch her.

Alison laughed.
“Well, maybe that’s a strategy from my side” she said and climbed up so she was almost next to him. Finally, she could see through all the branches and leaves. She now saw most of the Forest, and even part of Hogwarts. She looked around, and she even saw a Thestral flying over the trees.
“It should be easy to spot water from here” she said and looked at Troye.

Ha-ha, he thought. She almost fell to her death and now she was joking about it? He wasn’t having it - mostly because his heart was still banging inside of his chest. While he waited for her to climb up to him he looked around. He could see the Forest, a little bit of Hogwarts - but they weren’t high up enough. There were too many leaves in the way.
“Nah, we need to get higher”, he said quickly and continued his climbing. The branches began to grow further apart from each other the further up he got, but it didn’t matter. He had to get the perfect view over the Forest.

Alison bit her lip and started to climb again. This idea had seemed like a good one at first, but now it felt a bit dumb, since she felt more afraid for every step she took. Not that she was going to show Troye that – at least she had managed to scare him (and herself) a lot.
“We’ve been climbing forever, we should be there soon” she said and looked between the trees, they were very high up in the air. She wondered again if the professors knew what they were doing; probably, they wouldn’t risk students’ lives, right?

After climbing for just a few seconds, he got his perfect view. He didn’t stop climbing though, because he got the feeling that Alison didn’t like it. And he wanted her to admit it. He wanted her to confirm that he was better than her at something. It was extremely childish, and he realized that, but he didn’t care.
”Why, are you scared?” he teased, letting his eyes met hers.

Alison laughed a short laugh.
“In your dreams” she said and met his eyes. She always told herself that she was fearless, but that was, of course, not true. Everyone was always afraid of something. However, right now she wasn’t afraid, more like uncomfortable. When darkness were to come, she would be afraid, however. Not that she would never tell Troye that. Most people over 10 were not afraid of the dark, unfortunately, she was not one of them. When she came up to Troye, she could see the entire forest, almost. The view was incredible, which made her feel less uncomfortable for just a few seconds.
“Let’s find that water source” she said and looked down on the ground. Not that it felt very good, but she kind of had to.

The Ravenclaw began to sound like a Gryffindor. If he disliked Ravenclaws, he hated Gryffindors. They were completely horrible, acting all fearless and stuff. He ignored her, though, and looked around. He could see even more of Hogwarts; and he wished that he was there, with his wand. Surrounded by magic. He looked away from the castle and focused on the Forest, after the water source. His gaze wandered back and forth, and he changed branches to stand on quite often to not miss any spot. After a short while he pointed at water, sparkling in the sun.
“There!”

Alison started to feel a bit dizzy. She wondered what would happen if she fainted. Is wasn’t the fact that she was going to plunge to her death that bothered her the most, it was the fact that Troye would have something to tease her for that bothered her if it was going to happen. Finally, she heard his voice confirming that he had found what they were looking for. She looked, and nodded.
“Not too far away!” she exclaimed and started to climb down the tall tree, making her way towards the safe ground.

Troye also started to climb down the tree, but he made sure to hold a faster pace than her. He needed to be better than her at something, and besides, if he was beneath her, he had a bigger chance of catching her if she fell.
“Be careful with that one”, he said, pointing at a branch that was close to falling of off the tree. Soon he had climbed down the entire tree and he jumped down from the last branch. He looked himself around, waiting for Alison before walking away, just to make sure that he wouldn’t do anything wrong.
