Jon smiles and shakes his head, think how Arya would look covered in fur like the Free folk. "She would do well, I know so. Strong little wolf" he takes another drink of his ale, still leaning back in his seat, trying not to stare. He does my his little sister, she's always been wild and free, it would only make sense that she left to find something else. In the back of his mind he did pity Gendry, he saw how much she meant to him and he was turned down. Would that happen to him should I ask his Queen? seeing as how he has some 9 odd years left in exile, there is no chance that Sansa would wait. It would only bring her more sorrow and he didn't want that.
"He did make up for most of it, he was a good man, lost at times but who hasn't been" Jon presses his lips together, the memory of Theon is not usually a fond one but there is no denying that as much as he hurt the Starks , he helped and made up for it as well. He raises his mug and joins her in another drink. "For Theon" he downs the whole mug of ale, instantly regretting it, trying to hide a cough that cames from drinking too quickly. The thought of Petyr Baelish did not sit well, everything he said, he loved Sansa, for what reason? that she reminded him so of her mother, a woman who he could never have, she went from being betrothed to Brandon Stark , to the younger brother brother Eddard, Baelish was always left behind. It must have made him so bitter so that he would stoop so low. When he was confronted in the crypts , a place where he did not belong, amongst the dead Kings of Winter and Lords of the North, Jon had almost choked the man to death, wanting to snap his neck for mentioning his Sansa - his sister. A quick correction of thought, she was not 'his' Sansa. Most likely is that she well wed someone who still has blood ties to the Starks or mayhaps even Gendry, Jon hoped not, he had come to see the man as a friend of sorts, no matter what had transpired before their births. "Oh? you think I'm stubborn is that it, 'Your Grace'?" he teases her, still unable to to let go of her hand. Feeling himself lost in her sapphire eyes he averts his gaze for an instant. "Just like them, we even look like them" he thought, something from a fleeting comment that he heard Rickon say, or was it a dream? he wasn't certain, mayhaps even wishful thinking on his part. Their father- his uncle and Lady Stark had a good marriage, it seemed, loving , caring and a castle full of children. A sad smile creeps up on him and a bitter thought. "We never should have left" the frown creases his brow quickly before smoothening out again. ""Do stubborn and honorable go well together? mayhaps that is what causes such trouble" he hopes to make her laugh again, he loves her sweet , warm laugh, it makes him feel like he belong. Just for a moment he pictures himself standing in the place where Eddard stood, looking over his pack of flame haired children , strong and fit for a life in the winter, with his Lady wife - his Queen by his side. A ridiculous notion, yes but thoughts, dreams and love is not logical, he learned that long ago. Ghost pushes his nose against her stomach, looking up at Sansa with his red eyes that in the dim light look black, similar to his owners. Those dark grey eyes but the more you look the more purple and black they seem in certain lights. "It seems that a man must be Northen to love the North, born here. I don't think you could stand someone going on with 'how cold it is'" Jon squeezes her hand again, hoping she will see it as comfort and not notice his selfish desire to touch her, keep her close. "It won't take more than a moment for a man to love you if he does not already. You're strong, Iron and ice." Jon can't help himself he leans over and kisses her hand. "You show your people and family so much love, there is no kinder or better woman for the North" 'for me' the thought pushes it's way to the tip of his tongue but stays there. Jon wishes he could say more, say everything that has been on his mind for a year or more, she would think him mad a perverted, that is not something he wants. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! "She may look like a pup but she is a real wolf, and you have to be careful around her" Sansa smiled at that fact. She could understand why quiet alot of people had underestimated Arya. It wasn't something that was a disadvantage for her sister, no far from it. Compared to the men of the family, Arya could lure people with her small size and innocent smile, even without the face swopping thing. It was a part Sansa couldn't fully grasp, or understand, and seeing that Arya didn't seemed keen to talk about it, the older one hadn't asked. There were things she wished to ask all her siblings, but seeing that they were as keen to talk about it, as Sansa was to talk about her past, she didn't ask, none of them did. Maybe it was a good thing, maybe it was a bad thing, she didn't know, seeing it most likely would be something to reminisces over in the future.
"We have all been lost, more than once, even if our actions had different out comes. And the misstakes we makes, are things we have to live with for the rest of our lives, trying to make up for" she says with a small smile, knowing she had things she wasn't proud of. True she had been a child in Kings Landing, but her actions there still left much to wish for, and she had lied for Little Finger, when he killed her aunt. Things that would haunt her, as long as she lived. However, they were nothing over the nightmare she had about her past, so maybe she had made up for it, being punished, more than once. Her thoughts got interrupted when Jon coughed and she couldn't hinder herself from laughing. "I thought you could handle a simple glas of Ale, seeing that you travel with Tormund, but maybe he gives you little to drink, making you forgot the strength of it" she teased, knowing Jon knew how to drink. He could take her on anyday and she would lose with ease. She rarely drunk anything else then wine, and it wasn't a beverage you drank fast or much of, unless you were a Lannister. At some part she had been, so maybe she should have learned from Tyrion or Cersie, but it wasn't in her interest, and she didn't have enough problem to trying to drown her sorrow, not anymore at least. The moments in life, when she had needed it most, she had no access to it, not helping her. And now, the thought of being drunk didn't interest her. "I can barely remember a moment when you haven't been stubborn, ignoring all the advices I have been giving you" she said as she raised an eyebrow, with a small smile on her lips, both from the words and the fact that Jon still held her hand. "They do not go well together, seeing you are to stubborn to give up when needed, but also to honorable to achieve your goals in a cheating and lying way. Thats why both you and father could never play the game, you are to honorable. And to stubborn to realise that everyone else isn't" She had learned that the hard way, and knew that there was a time to be stubborn, and a time for honor, especially honor. She tried to be a honorable person, to do her father right, but she also knew when she couldn't be, most likely making Little Finger proud. A scary thought, but the man had known how to play the game, and she had learned from him. "But to be fair, being a honorable man, makes you a good man, almost to good for this world" she said with a tender voice, stroking Jon's hand, as she gave him a sweet smile. Sansa moves her eyes to Ghost when he moves and she buries her hand in his fur. "I haven't forgotten you" she gives him a sweet kiss on the nose, making the dog wag his tail, before she gives him a small piece of meet. "I would go crazy, being forced to hear someone complain over the cold! I have people from Dorne that have requested a visit, wishing to establish contact, and I am far from looking forward to that, knowing they will not do well in the North" she said, sounding tired of it already. "And you are right, a man from the North would suit me the best, but none of the Lords have caught my interest" Sansa wished she could tell Jon, that he was the reason for that, but she stayed silent, knowing it would destroy what band they had. "I hope you are right, seeing that it hasn't been true so far" she gives him a weak smile, knowing that none of the men in her life had loved her, and she doubted that someone ever would. Not because she thought less of herself, no it was simply because she feared people was after her, because her title, nothing more. Sansa meets Jon's dark eyes, when he kisses her hand, and she can't help from blushing, a natural reaction, one she wished she could fight, not wishing to let Jon see the effects he had on her. "Your words are to kind, but it warms to hear them" she smiles once more before she forces herself to look away, before she could act stupidly. She turned her focus to Ghost once more, something the wolf seemed pleased with. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! ![]() 31 maj, 2019 04:20 |

He laughs , a warm happy laugh "Aye, she's far more dangerous than people assume, our Arya." They'd all grown and changed since they left Wintefell, the Capital and Essos had taken it's toll on the girls and Jon's time on and beyond the wall him. Maybe it was necessary and maybe not but it is done now. He wished to ask her about everything but asking would only open some healing wounds in Sansa's heart. "She'll return soon enough sharing her adventures" a hopeful smile is all he can give her at the moment.
"Arya told me once that all roads lead to the same castle, and it seems that they have, we all find our way home" 'In one way or another' thinking of the wolves in the crypts. Would he be buried there? would Tormund or any of the Free folk drag his dead body back to Winterfell and lay him to rest in the crypts? or would he be burned on a pyre like the Free folk and Dragonlords do? Jon would much rather be in the crypts than turned to ask away from his kin. A place next to his Queen would be preferable, even if that place would go to her husband. A kind man, he hoped but there seems to be a lack of those these days. He's always brooded, but now more than ever, exiled by force and not choice this time to a life beyond the wall. The coughing quickly subsides as he catches his breath and takes another drink from his ale. "I only drink enough to feel warm. Would I compete with Tormund I would lose, the man can drink too much and still be left standing." Jon enjoyed this, talking to her so freely and warmly, like there was no barriers between them but again, Tormund always has the best and strange stories, he won't mind sharing some more. Drink and the warmth of a woman is said to keep men alive past the Wall, drink Jon had inplenty and he could chose any woman he wanted, take her if he wished but it was never in his interest , not after Ygritte and the folly and sadness that came with it. "Seeing as how our halls are warm , I do not need to drink as much" Our halls he said, no yours. It felt like home, like his halls, he knows all of them by heart and she must too. Jon remembers when they were younger seeing Sansa look down from the walkways , sporting a similar expression like her mother , disapproving but that had all melted away when he found her at Castle Black. The embrace was sweet and tight and each interaction since had made them stronger together. "Not 'all' of them just the once that were clever and - all right , all of them. I'm a fool" He smiles, hearing a distant voice saying 'You know nothing' he didn't he truly didn't. Mayhaps Jon should listen more to the redhaired women in his life. "Honor and mercy should not be seen as something ill but they are in most places of the country. Not here, The North is as it's always been, honorable and good. With the right people overseeing it , of course" he meant her, no one would be better than Ned Stark's trueborn daughter. Willful and cunning with such a capacity for love. A true Northen woman. In the short amount of time that he's been back in Winterfell his thoughts have betrayed him but lucky his mouth had not, would it so he would make a fool of himself The white Direwolf keeps resting on her lap, truly enjoying the attention, like he was a pup again. 'He must be happy to be home too' Jon muses, sets his gaze back on Sansa as she speaks. "The Martells hold all of Dorne, they would not need the North as well. Unless you truly wish to have an endless supply of lemon cakes" Jon jests, hoping to ease the tension of the question he posed. 'Aye, kind.' he thinks. For a moment he believes he notices a blush on Sansa's cheeks. 'Just the wine, it must be' Jon squeezes her hand again as he hears the change in her voice. "It's true , Your Grace" he add the title with a smile on his lips, bowing his head in jest. Ghost huffs and closes his eyes, seems to get more comfortable with each pet and stroke of his fur. "Yes, she really is" Sansa said with proud in her voice. It wasn't a road she would ever walk, or wish for her daughters to take, but she couldn't be more proud of her younger sister. She had grown up, and becoming what she always wished for, a free woman, doing and going wherever she wished for! Sansa was pleased with that, seeing how it made Arya happy, knowing that she would never be happy, if she had stayed in Winterfell as a Lady.
"Of that I am sure. Just as I am sure that she will leave almost as fast. Compared to me who see Winterfell as my home, Arya see the whole world as her home. But as long as she writes me and let me know, I am pleased, knowing she is alive and well" she thought about the letter Arya had sent, telling her how she had reached some island, not marked on any map. She had yet to explore it, but the excitement was clear. Sansa nodded, pleased that she had her whole family here, even if some of them rested in the crypts. If any of them would be buried else were, it would have been tragical, and she would have fought to get them home. The Starks belonged in Winterfell! "Seeing all roads lead to Winterfell, and our home, I am more than pleased. I rather have my road leading me back here, than anywhere else" she was about to ad 'if it isn't to you Jon', but she didn't, knowing that it would appear strange, even if they were family. You didn't said such things to your family, no that was something you said to a partner, and even if she most likely could make up some excuse, she rather not destroy the moment. She laughed in agreement. "I think there is few who can challenge the man, when it comes to drinking, and I am not sure I would like to see someone try, seeing that the result would be far from pleasant" A briefly thought went to the Hound, maybe he could have challenged the man, something they would never know now, and it wasn't knowledge lost to the world. "Yes, it is our walls, seeing Winterfell will always be your home, even when you are faraway" Sansa smiled towards him, liking that he called him our home. She saw Winterfell being Jon's home as much as it was hers and Arya's. She had a hard time saying that it was Bran's home anymore, but she would never deny him a visit. "And compared to the wildly North beyond the wall it must see warm. Seeing that we still have far to come, before the castle it repaired, it isn't as warm as it was, but we are getting there" "Seeing all my advice are cleaver, it was all of them, so glad that we could agree up on that" she teased him with a smile on her lips. "It's because the past years we have been in war, and war normally isn't a place for honor or mercy. Few glimpse of it can be seen, but it isn't something you should count on. And the southern is far from peaceful, even now, and the Lord and Ladies aren't as loyal as up here. It's almost laughable that the southerns sees us as wildlings, uncivilized people up here, when its in fact the opposite" She remembered that she first had been impressed by the way in Kings Landing, how everything seemed perfect and lovely, until she started seeing the truth, missing the way it's done in the North. It may be rawer sometimes, but it wasn't the lying and cheating ways they did it in the capital. "I am doing my best to oversee it, and thankfully the people have accepted me, not only because I am the last Stark left, no they have truly accepted me, and no one could have given me anything better" she was pleased that she had her peoples love, knowing that without it, it was nearly impossible to rule. "What you need, and what you want is two different things" Sansa commented "And if you have more children then you need, marrying them off to powerful allies, is what you do. It wasn't like father needed the North and Kings Landing, agreeing to marry me off to Joffrey" Sansa had been happy back then, hearing that, but when she remembers it now, she could tell that her father wasn't. If he knew something she didn't she can't say, or if he just didn't wish to let go of her little girl. "However, an endless supply of lemon cakes would be pleasant, maybe even worth to give up my Kingdom for" she said with a laugh, before she turns towards Jon again, meeting his dark eyes. "You may regret your words if you continue calling me 'Your Grace'" She can't remember teasing Jon this much before, not at least in a friendly way, but she had to admit she liked it. She liked how natural it felt, and how fun it was! But she had to force herself to remember that it meant nothing and that she couldn't let it go further! She looked at Ghost briefly, as she played with his fur, really missing Lady, something she hasn't been doing in years. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! ![]() 31 maj, 2019 18:41 |

"I hope the world makes her happy" a soft smile graces Jon's features as hears her voice. "It will always be her home , i'm sure that she will stay as long as she cares to, without annoying you" he jokes; taking another swig from his ale. Caaually slipping Ghost some meat under the table, almost like a naughty child.
"Agreed, I wouldn't want the roas to take me anywhere else, this is where we belong. With family and the old King's of Winter and their stone faces" Jon can't help but to show her another warm smile, the expression seem to be like one of love. A secret that he did not wish to share but might be too obvious , hopefully she didn't notice and if she did, not throw him out. "Vomiting is not celebrating , no matter what he says" he laughs and shakes his head. "Aye, it's much warmer here than in a skin hut" he smiles and drinks again, keeping his eyes on Sansa'a face, his eyes darting from her lips to eyes. "You shouldn't concern yourself with having children yet; you're still very young." He almost slaps himself for the stupid comment. "People have always done that, wedding their daughters to will be Lords" Jon's expression sours at the mention of Joffrey. He would happily have taught that lion a lesson if he could. He smiles softly when he hears her soft laugh. Looking up; smiling. "A Kingdom for lemon cakes?" He chuckles "Oh will I?" He asks with a raised eyebrow, smiling. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! "I am sure it will. Not sure how happy the world will be with her mischievous ways" Sansa commented, having ni problem, seeing her sister doing whatever she pleased, not following the rules. She just hoped it didn't lead to a situation Arya couldn't handle, because no matter how great someone is, there is always a situation they can't handle. Sansa didn't wish to think about what kind of situation that would be, and hoped it never would come, not wishing to see her sister being brought back in a coffin. "I would like to say that it would be forever, but we both knows that's a lie. I love her, but she would drive me crazy, if she stayed her forever, and we all know that. I rather have her return short periods of time, but often"
"Then don't wonder to far into the North, we don't want to force free folks to carry your heavy body all the way here, from the corner of the world" she teased, hoping that wouldn't be the case. Just like Arya, she didn't wish Jon to return to her in a coffin. She wished for him to stay here forever, compared to her sister, she doubted she would get annoyed with Jon after awhile. "Yes with their stone faces. You think that after all this years, someone would have learned how to carve a good statue, resembling the living one" She thought of the statue of her father, and how it didn't looked like him, something she knew. But after a few generations everyone would think thats how he looked, sadly enough. Because she couldn't tell with the others, she didn't know if the old ones resembled the living ones. But she didn't wish to think about the dead, not with Jon here. She rather turn her focus to him, and the smile he was giving her. It made her feel warm and almost blush once more, but she managed to hinder herself, by turning away, not wishing for Jon to think of her as strange. And especially not knowing what she thought. "I agree with you, but I wouldn't try to convince him otherwise either. It's not a battle that's worth my time" she said, knowing that Tormund most likely never would change his ways. "Not an achievement, seeing it would be tragic if the castle wasn't warmer than a hut" "I do not concern myself with that, seeing you need to be two to get a child, and I am not willing to marry someone, only to bare a child" she simply said. She thought of having children, would love to, but at the same time she wasn't ready, and she could never force herself to have some. She had been through to much to do that, and she wanted her children to have a lovely and caring home. "And that how it has been, something I don't think I will do with my children. Being through what I have been through, I say they are free to marry out of love, not for political reasons" In some reasons she may bend and respect what others say, but this was not one of them! "Yes, I mean what is a kingdom compared to lemon cakes?" she asked with a obvious fake dreamy voice. "Yes, I may ask you to leave, and keep Ghost here to accompany me instead, seeing he hasn't called me 'Your Grace' once" The Wolf looked at her when she spoke his name, looking proud and wagging his tail, and Sansa laughed at him, kissing his nose. "The world would be very dull without her" Jon smiles again, thinking of his little sister, happily sailing West , exploring the world. He would be lying if he said that he didn't miss her. She'd always been the only one who treated him as her brother no matter what.
"I won't go too far, I promise. It would be easy for them to drag me here. So for your sake, I'll stay close, for you" he sighs and rubs his face. "They do can have never get it right. I wonder what my ..- my mother truly looked like. That statue doesn't look like I would imagine" a frown creases his brow at the thought of a mother he never knew. Looking back at her blue eyes, smiling softly. "That would be tragic'" was his soft reply. "Winterfell will always be warm" Another smiles graces his lips. "Of course not, no one should never force you to do anything." He smiles and squeezes her hand. "Letting them marry for love is new, mayhaps not in Dorne but here" a soft chuckle goes past his lips again, he kisses her hand. "They will be very lucky to have you as a mother" Jon can't help but to smile, thinking about how she would look heavy with child, his child. A thought he forces himself to shake it away, it only serves to give him images of happy, fluffy haired children in the courtyard. Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! Sansa nodded, despite that they rarely saw eye to eye, she wouldn't want a world without Arya. She wouldn't want a world without any of them, sadly the world hadn't been on her side. She had to accept what happened, take strength from it, and learn how to live through it. Luckily she had three of her siblings left, or maybe just two, seeing Jon now was her cousin, nut maybe it was for the best. Feeling what she felt would most likely be seen at strange, especially from Jon, but it was better now, than when he was her brother.
"It would be dull without her, without her, no one would sneak inside the castle, frighten the guards" Sansa smiled remembering when the guards told her about Arya, how they had been worried, not only because someone managed to sneak inside the castle, but also about her reaction. She had been worried at first, until she realised that it could only be one person, and instead became excited. Having both Arya and Bran returning to her back than, had really eased her heart, and brought her much joy. Compared to Jon, who she at least could her rumors about, she had expected the other two to be dead. She had never been happier to be wrong. "For my sake? What an honor" she teased, but gave him a smile. Hearing him say that brought her joy, and she most likely smiled wider than she should, and she forced herself to stop. "Let's hope they don't have to return you, lets hope you can return by yourself" She really wished Jon would come to see her again, she would have preferred if he stayed with her, but that wasn't possible, so the thought of him visiting her again, was pleasing. "I think the only person that would know is Bran. Unsure that anyone else is alive to remember her" Sansa said. She had no idea how Lyanna would have looked, some said Arya resembled her, but if it was true or not wasn't for her to say. "I really wish you could have known them. Lyanna was said to be a wonderful person, and Rhaegar, he was your father, if nothing else" Sansa had rarely heard something good about the Targaryen's, most likely because of what happened to her grandfather and uncle, but yet all of them couldn't have been bad. And if one of them was just half as good as Jon was, then the stories was far from true. "I think at this time, forcing me to do anything is nearly impossible, not only because I have the crown" she smiled a small smile, knowing few people would go against her orders. They would advice her, but she always had the last word, and when it came to marrying someone, she wasn't even sure she would take advices, seeing she wanted to chose out of free will. "Someone has to start, don't they, and seeing that Dorne are flourishing, I say that they are a good example to follow" She had never been that far, but if she ever would return to the south, Dorne was one of the few locations she would like to visit. She turned towards Jon when he kissed her hand once more, and for a second she almost told him what she felt, and asked him to kiss her for real, but she managed to hinder herself, not wishing to ruin the moment. She knew she would cherish this moments. "I hope to be a good mother" she started, imagining Jon as their father, knowing how good of they would be then, but she reminded herself that it was a ridicules idea. "I hope to be as good as father and mother was, but also preparing them for the real world, in a way none of them did" Sansa didn't wish to scare the children, but she didn't wish to leave them to experience how the real world works, in the same way she had to. "It truly would be dull. She's far better at frightening the guards that I am" Jon says with a chuckle. Happy to have his family somewhat back together.
"Aye; for your sake" a smile crosses his lips. "I hope so, riding through the gate, greyhaired and wrinkled." He continues to tease her "if you would let me in looking like that. Maybe even with a gianr beard" imagining himself in such an age and state is ludicrous. "He would know but I doubt that he would have someone redo the statue" 'or show me either of them, if that is possible" he sighs. "All I heard was that she was beautiful and willful and he was handsome and good. "Bran speaks in too many riddles, he fits right in there" "Dorne is meant to be beautiful." He smiles "and I'm certain you would enjoy the fashion" he jests and continues. "You will be a good mother. If not the best. You know what to do and what not to do. That is the best, teaching them" all Jon could do is agree , he feels the same way, the Stark children were not prepared but Sansa's will be. Spoiler: . Tryck här för att visa! "It's because you have no interest in frighten the guards" she simply said. she knew that her siblings had run away from the guards from time to time when they were young, hiding or playing harmful pranks on them. She saw it as juvenile, and below her. She had instead treated the guards with respect, as her mother had thought her, often saying that you should be on good terms with your guards, since they are there to protect you. If they despise you, they may turn the other way around, if something happens. As young she hadn't thought much of it, only doing what her mother told her to do, but now, as a grown up and a queen, she knew how much truth it lied in those words. It may be different for her Jon and Arya, both knowing how to use a sword, but if something happened she would be defenseless, more or less. It reminded her of when the Hound saved her, when the people attacked them, back in Kings Landing. Without his help, she would have been raped and possibly killed.
Sansa laughed again, looking at Jon. "I have a hard time seeing you with grey hair and wrinkles, possible because I have to imagine myself in the same state" she had thought that she would die young, never thinking of herself as an old lady, but now it was a possibility, a strange one. "Depends, maybe I am to old to remember who you are" Losing her mind, forgetting about everything, especially Jon was something she hoped would never happen. "It would be the least he could to for you" Sansa muttered, feeling that Bran owned so much to Jon, yet he had done so little for him! "She really does sound like Arya, and him, he sounds like you" She didn't had time to think before she said those words, but she regretted them at once, not because it was untrue, no because it was something that could be seen as strange. It was possible for family members to compliment each other looks, but it had to be said in another way. Sansa more or less said that she saw Jon as handsome, she just hoped that he wouldn't think of it as strange. "Once I would have enjoyed it, but today I prefer the North fashion. I prefer the beautiful dresses we have, without showing off all your skin. It's simple, but elegant, and practical" she admit. When she had arrived in Kings Landing as a child, she had loved seeing the different clothing, from the different parts of the kingdom, wishing to be dressed just like them, now, she would never dream of wearing anything else, than her own clothes. It may be seen as ugly or boring by the other ladies in the south, but she didn't care about that. "The best mother? That's a lot of expectations to live up to" she said with a smile "But I will do my best, wishing for them to have the best possible start in their life" Spoiler: Tryck här för att visa! ![]() 2 jun, 2019 19:23 |
