Alison couldn’t help but laugh out loud when his smug face realized that he couldn’t, in fact, lift the poles alone. “Such a strong man, are you?” she said and laughed. She lifted the other part of the pole, and now it went easily. “This one should go over there, and the other three in position so it makes a square. Then we’ll put the tallest one in the middle” she said and ignored his demandingly voice. He didn’t boss over her. Moron. At least he was the one to embarrass himself before she embarrassed herself, which was a little win for her. “Then it should be easy to put on the fabric and I bet the magic kicks in when that’s done” she said and looked at the ground and the stuff on it. 7 jun, 2018 17:31 |

He wanted to punch her right in the face. The one thing that ruined his ego the most was probably when people laughed at him - something that didn’t happen too often, though.
“I get it”, he answered, letting go of the pole that they had already put in its place. “Jeez, never thought a mud blood would act superior to me.” He grabbed the next pole and waited for her to do the same. He did realize that his comment was stupid, hell, he didn’t even mind mud bloods! But Troye needed to be superior at all times; and poking at people’s (possible) insecurities made that a lot easier. bleh 7 jun, 2018 17:43 |

“Well, I guess you haven’t met many people that dare to act superior to you, but guess what, dipshit, there are many people that are superior to you, including me” she said, her voice cold. He had used the worst insult in the wizarding world. She decided to punch him in the balls later, when she had won the Championship. The first pole went through the ground, and she grabbed the other one and started carrying it to the next place where they were supposed to put it down. “Use that word around me again and I’ll curse you as soon as I get the chance” she said and raised her eyebrows. 7 jun, 2018 17:51 |

He definitely hit a spot. It wasn’t too hard figuring out if she was serious about her threats or not; of course she was! Alison was insane! (Which he kind of liked. At least she wasn’t boring.) He listened to her and grabbed the pole and helped her put it down. He did feel threatened, of course he did, but he still wasn’t afraid. If she ever tried anything he would get back at her - which he hoped that she realized.
“You’ve got some balls!” he grinned after it had been quiet for a while. “I actually thought that you were going to be like Claire.” Another stupid comment, although this one didn’t sound stupid before he actually said it. bleh 7 jun, 2018 18:03 |

“I’ve got the biggest balls out of us two, which says something about you” she said and looked at him. She grabbed the next pole.
“Yeah? You think that I magically have to be like my friends? Are you like your friends?” she said and shook her head. “Don’t judge a book by its cover” she said and rolled her eyes. “And help me with this, I want to finish today” she continued and looked over at him. 7 jun, 2018 18:10 |

The “I-want-to-punch-you-in-your-face”-feeling came back. He had tried to lighten the mood a little bit, hadn’t he? Obviously it wouldn’t work on some Ravenclaw-girl who was upset with him for no reason. (“No reason”, she probably had lots of them.)
“Just stop being a bitch”, he said, bending down to help her with the pole. “It’ll be easier to work together if you just chill out.” He liftes the pole, presumably with her help, and put it in its place before looking up at her again. bleh 7 jun, 2018 20:33 |

She looked up at him.
“Sure, but the same goes for you, chill out, especially with the obnoxious comments” she said and grinned. Maybe it was a start of burying the hatchet, maybe they could bury it one third of the way or something? The second pole was down in the ground. Alison decided to try a nicer approach. Hopefully that would work. “Just two left” she said and forced a smile, getting ready to lift the third pole from the ground. Maybe if she was the bigger person in this scenario, they would get along. Sort of. Maybe. 7 jun, 2018 22:38 |

He highly doubted that he would ever be able to stop with the comments. Some of them just slipped out - and some of them didn’t even sound rude in his head! (He ignored the comments that he actually could control. He probably wouldn’t stop with them either.)
“What is that?” he asked, nodding at her smile. It was obviously forced, and kind of cringeworthy. “We’re just going to work together, you don’t have to act like you like it.” His dark eyes met her green ones for a short second before he bent down to grab the third pole. bleh 8 jun, 2018 18:40 |

Alison laughed a wry laugh.
“I’ve read that if you do something long enough to believe it, you might change your mind about the thing. For example; if I smile and pretend I like this arrangement we’re both in, I’ll soon believe I actually like it. It’s a long shot, but worth a try” she said and lifted the third pole. As soon as it was put in the ground, she turned around and bent down to lift the last one. Soon, they could at least sit inside and despise each other. Alison actually felt a bit sad that she hadn’t been teamed up with someone she could actually develop a friendship with; now the Championship seemed like something she just had to get through, she had wanted it to be fun and exciting. Maybe it would get better if (hopefully when) Troye was out of the Championship. She put a strand of hair that had loosened from her braid behind her ear. She looked over at Troye, waiting for him to help her lift the pole. 8 jun, 2018 23:14 |

Oh, she was a Ravenclaw. Not that he had forgotten about it, but she reminded him anyway. ‘I’ve read somewhere/that’ was probably the phrase that each and every Ravenclaw had to utter at least once everyday.
“That sounds a bit like bullshit to me”, he responded in a quiet voice; saying it more to himself than to Alison. He stretched his arms while looking at the poles that they’d already put up. It hadn’t been fun; but it hadn’t been as bad as he thought, either. He would probably survive the next few days (he hoped). After he was done stretching he bent down again, grabbing the last pole. bleh 9 jun, 2018 17:01 |
