Well, it had been no reason for Noel to keep the whole surprise-thing secret, because Eric told her all about it. He wasn't disappointed or anything, though.
He couldn't believe that the rumor had spread so fast. Guilt, though it wasn't his guilt to feel, started spreading throughout his entire body. He felt so bad for Audrey. The only thing that had spread about him was what happened with the rat - six years ago.
"I'd like to see things from the bright side", he said after a while. Quiet wasn't comfortable anymore as Eric had arrived. "It's the beginning of this semester. It will be forgotten at least next semester." He tried to smile to show that what he was saying was true, but he didn't even believe it himself.

“I wish” Audrey muttered to Noels hopeful suggestion and Eric smiled.
“Come on! It takes one Quidditch Game, and they will talk about your goaling skills instead!” he exclaimed and punched her arm jokingly. He looked at his watch.
“Hey, since the surprise thing didn’t work out, I need to go to John” he said and Audrey nodded.
“Go, I think I’ll survive without you” she said and winked. Eric laughed, pressed his lips on her temple before waving to Noel and disappearing down the corridor. Audrey turned to Noel and took a deep breath.
“So, time to face the staring students” she muttered before she started to walk down the corridor.

Eric's lips on Audrey's temple stung in his eyes. How could he be jealous? First of all, Eric and Audrey were friends. Second of all, Noel and Audrey were barely even that. He had no right to be anything near jealous.
"Already?" he asked, secretly wanting to be with her, alone. Like they had been, just previously. "You think you can handle that?"

“Thanks for believing in me” Audrey grinned and stopped. Was she really ready? She shook her head. An idea popped up in her head.
“Come on” she said, and turned around instead. She went in the opposite direction, and went through one of the secret doors in the castle. She went up a few staircases until they were in front of the wall which lead into the Room of Requirement, without having to meet other students. She loved the secret passages in the castle. She turned to Noel.
“Think of something and walk three time past the wall, like I did the day before yesterday” she said and smiled. At least she wouldn’t have to face the other students for a while if she was in there.

Apparantly Noel had been right. She wasn't completely ready to face everyone yet. Not that he blamed her or anything, he wouldn't either. He wasn't even sure that he would be able to face everyone. He was paired up with her for the project, which did link him to her. He followed her, as usual. He didn't mind it this time. He usually hated following people, but now it felt okay. Because it was Audrey, and they were on good terms with eachother, for once.
He looked at the wall and thought for a while. Where did he even want to be right now? He wanted to calm down, that was for sure. The only place that popped into his head was the Prefect's bathroom. Would it be awkward, though? Probably. But still, it was the only thing he could think of that was relaxing. And he didn't want to think of just relaxing, who knew what would turn up then?
He imagined himself the bathroom and walked past the wall three times (feeling utterly stupid doing so, too.) The door appeared and he turned around to look at Audrey.
"Shall we?" he asked, smiling.

Audrey nodded and went into the room. It was a bit unexpectedly, but she was fine with a huge bathroom with a huge bathtub. She imagined that this was how the Prefects Bathrooms looked like.
“Well, it would be worth it being a Prefect just for this” she said and turned on the tap, and the bathtub started to fill with both water and bubbles. She laughed and pulled off her shirt and pants. She had no shame when it came to nakedness and underwear, everybody had probably seen a semi naked person sometime in their life, it would be no different with her. Sure, it was a bit weird in front of Noel maybe, but what the hell.

However, now was her full scar visible. It was clear that the beam had burned her neck, right part of the chest and the middle of her stomach pretty bad. She kept her underwear on and emerged into the hot water.
“Amazing. Perks of being a good student, I guess” she said and laughed.

He laughed. Definite Prefect perk. The sleepless nights were totally worth it because of the bathroom. It was amazing. He watched Audrey as she turned on the tap which made the large bathtub fill magically fast. She obviously had no problems with her body - just throwing of her clothes like that. His eyes immediately fixated on her scar. It was bigger than he had thought (not that he had thought much of it, but still.)
Noel was quite insecure of his body, to be honest. He didn't have those muscles like a boy should have and stuff. He couldn't bathe with his clothes on, though. And he didn't want to say no to bathing, it'd seem weird. He pulled of his sweater, and his pants, exposing his slightly tanned, lanky body. He emerged into the water after Audrey.
"Well, what can I say", said he and chuckled. "The daily, hard work as a Prefect does pay off."

“I really hope I become Quidditch Captain just for this” she said and dipped her hair in the water. She looked quickly at Noel as he undressed, before she turned to floaton her back, closing her eyes.
“Wonderful” she mumbled and took a deep breath.
“This is just what I needed” she said and felt how the calm water helped her relax. The stress of this morning just hit her, and she felt the whole impact of what had happened now.
“I just want to be here all day, and never leave” she said and laughed.

The water covered his body (he just felt like it did. Water is, as everyone knows, transparent.) and he felt more at ease. He enjoyed looking at Audrey, relaxing. She had a really tough morning. Relaxation was what she deserved.
"Once I actually stayed here until one am", he said, laughing. "Completely lost track of time. And me, being a really good boy", he made a pause. He was teasing himself. He never made fun of himself. What was wrong with him? "I told Snape immediately the next morning. I felt so guilty."

Audrey sat down by one of the walls of the bathtub.
“Really? You told him?” she said and grinned, “what happened? Did he give you detention?” she asked and smiled. She touched her chest. Whatever oil or something in the water was really helping her itching.
“So, hypothetically, if we were to stay here till late, would you go and tell Snape tomorrow?” she asked and laughed, and winked at him. She was still Audrey, she wouldn’t stop joking or being sarcastic.
