Noel didn't respond. What would he say? "I'll ask her the right questions then, mate!", felt stupid. There was no logical response. (There probably was, but Noel didn't have that much of social skills.)
Unsure of saying happy birthday or not, it took a while for him to answer Audrey. He also wanted to know about her punishment. Would it be rude to ask though? Ugh.
"I want to go to Hogsmeade", he said, looking up to her. Still having a smile on his lips. "Happy birthday, by the way." His smile grew bigger. While Audrey seemed to hate her birthday, Noel loved his. And everyone elses birthday.

Audrey nodded.
“Sure! At least McGonagall didn’t take that from me” she said and sighed. She rolled her eyes.
“Thanks” she said expressionlessly.
“It’s just another day. We’re not very much into birthdays, where I come from” she added and thought about the letter. She took a sip from her glass.
“I guess you’re a birthday person?” She asked and shrugged. She liked other people’s birthdays, but not her own. Which was kind of weird maybe, she had just never been a big fan of celebrating herself.

"I love birthdays", he said, still having that stupid smile all over his face. He felt like such a child, and he was sure Audrey thought that of him too. He didn't like acting childish. Hated it, actually. Always had, always will. He even stopped climbing trees at twelve because a girl in the fourth year said it was stupid and silly.
"So uh-", he continued, feeling a bit guilty again. "What punishment did you get?" He regretted being a good Prefect last night. Why didn't she tell him about her lack of parents the morning before? It would spare him tons of guilt.

Audrey shook her head.
“McGonagall said that she’ll postpone the punishment until after the project, so you don’t have to join me” she said and stretched. She scratched her neck and dug in her pocket, and picked up the tube she had gotten from Madam Pompfrey.
“Sorry, I forgot to do it upstairs” she muttered and spread the cream onto her neck and down her chest behind her top. She put the tube back in her pocket and leaned back.
“So, when do we leave for Hogsmeade?” She asked and flexed her right hand.

He nodded, felt relief. Mixed with guilt, though. He looked at her as she spread the cream. Even though her shirt covered her chest his teenage, hormonal brain started working. It made him blush a little, but he was sure that she wouldn't notice.
"Uh- I don't know, really", he stuttered, still having his teenage mode working on his brain. Had Eric stated some time when they should've been there? Shit, he couldn't remember. Had he already fucked everything up?

She shrugged.
“We’ll figure it out, Eric mentioned yesterday that he’ll go there around 12” she said and leaned back. She looked at Noel, who seemed more relaxed now. Maybe because they had stopped talking about her dead parents, which she could understand. She looked around the room, and saw Sean pass their table, and he gave her a long look. She raised her eyebrows.
“What is that guys problem?” She asked and sighed. She looked at Noel.
“Do you know the guy? You spoke with him yesterday, didn’t you?” She asked and leaned far on her chair, so it stood on two legs.

Noel wrinkled his forehead, trying to remember. After a while he did. How could he possibly forget that conversation? Sean was the worst person that Noel had ever met. How couldn't he have realized that earlier on? He'd always seemed like a chill guy.
"Not really", he said, rolling his eyes before continuing. "Such a stupid guy, should really grow the fuck up." He saw Sean and sighed. Just his face was annoying.

Audrey looked at Noel.
“Such harsh words for a Prefect” she grinned and let the chair fall back on all four legs again. She loosened her braid and let her hair fall down, it was really long. She shook her head and let it fall down her back. It was much nicer to let it hang down, but it got stuck in stuff all the time. She looked at Noel’s clothes again.
“Doesn’t it feel good, not having to wear your uniform and tie every day?” She said and smiled.
“Say what you want about Muggles, but they make comfortable clothes” she said and took a sip from her glass.

Noel chuckled. He always have had a dirty mouth - his grandmother hated that part of him. "WASH YOUR MOUTH WITH SOAP, SON!", she had yelled at him. Scary back then, quite funny now.
"I like the uniform", he said, looking back at her. "But I figured that I should use some of the clothes that mom bought me. She has this thing with mugglestuff - she loves it."

”Yeah? Why?” Audrey asked. Why would people be interested in muggle stuff when they had Magic at their finger tips?
“How much do you wizard born even know about the muggle world? If you don’t choose muggle studies, that is?” She asked. She knew that Eric had no idea about anything in the muggle world, until she started to teach him. She studied Noel as she spoke. She had been really nice to him this morning, even shared some personal stuff with him, which was very unusual for Audrey. She was surprised, why did she share stuff with him? A person she had known for two days, who disliked her a lot? She was very confused, and didn’t like it one bit.
